Favor

Rainn,

I am writing to ask a silly favor from you. See, my friend and I play in a Fantasy Football league. My team name is The Dunder Mifflins, and his is Arrested Development. We're not crazy nut-job stalkers, we just really like those shows. Actually, our first year we had different names, but we changed them later. That's only important to know if you watch the first video below.

I grew up loving hockey and how the Stanley Cup trophy went from team to team every year. So we created a side bet in our league. Whenever we went head to head, that was our Stanley Cup playoff. But instead of using the actual Stanley Cup trophy (apparently the NHL doesn't just let anyone use it?), we use the Dwight Schrute Bobblehead doll as our trophy. When I won the first year, I decided to make a video, taking the piss out of my friend (and me a bit). Well, that created a tradition. And since we are competitive, we always try to make a better video than the previous one. As you can see from my first video, it aint no Scorsese. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O8Bm0wfG6Q
But it's fun and it started a hilarious tradition for us.

I once again was victorious this year and am looking to do something different with my video. Basically, I am asking to you to make an appearance in it. I give you creative control (as if I wouldn't use it if I didn't think it fit in with my vision). Anything you can do would be amazing. It could be as simple as you taking 20 seconds to hit the record button on your computer camera saying how bad his team is, how dominant the Dunder Mifflins are, how we must never concede control of the motherland (see "The Magic Number video" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4dltqj2NsU). Or if you wanted to go crazy, you could get the entire cast (minus Jenna, since she might be a bit pre-occupied now) to talk about how great my team is, blah blah blah. But with funnier stuff than just blah blah blah. I mean if that's your best effort, then who needs it. Seriously, anything you do will be great. I believe in you.

His name is Robert and mine is Ted. He makes pretty good videos too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZYDSu7D1yc
He's got more computer skills, since he's a designer and know photoshop very well. But I like to think mine are funnier. My finest work if I do say so myself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQwbzQKGblI

If you can do something, I would be eternally grateful. If not, I'll figure something else out. But it would totally suck in comparison to having you in the video. No pressure.

In case you're wondering why the bobblehead doll head is askew in the later videos, well, I have 2 kids and one of the them dropped the doll and the head fell off. I did the best I could with super glue. I've since sold that child for his offense.

Thanks for even reading this and or considering the proposal.
